The Ten Tenths Motor Club, a collaboration between Hendrick Performance and Speedway Motorsports unveiled in October 2024 with a grand opening in April 2025, is a premier automotive country club for enthusiasts, collectors, and manufacturers. It features a private, world-class 1.7-mile, 19-turn road course designed by Formula 1 veteran Alexander Wurz, with 112 feet of elevation change and three configurations (Full Circuit, Short Course, Inner Loop) that can be run forward or reverse, day or night due to full lighting. Permacast Walls installed a custom precast concrete sound and privacy wall surrounding the circuit to ensure security, exclusivity, and aesthetic appeal for its elite members. The wall, built to complement the club’s modern facilities including a luxury clubhouse, cigar lounge, bourbon lounge with curated selections, outdoor terrace with circuit views, private garages, and event spaces, provides a seamless barrier that helps with sound and enhances privacy while withstanding the demands of an active motorsport environment. Project Overview
Developed in direct collaboration with the owners of Charlotte Motor Speedway, the wall encloses the Ten Tenths Circuit—a lighted road course with multiple configurations, blending tight technical corners with high-speed straights, and equipped with MyLaps timing and scoring for professional-level sector data. The design incorporated a triple-stack panel layout to achieve a striped “racing lane” aesthetic, using sand-finished panels with smooth banding for painted horizontal stripes.
Manufactured off-site for efficiency, the wall was installed around an active site, navigating elevation changes, clay soil conditions, and scheduling constraints tied to ongoing club events. The project emphasized quick decision-making and seamless execution, aligning with the client’s high-end expectations.
